5 Tips for a Stress-Free Wedding Celebration

stress free wedding celebration

If there’s one thing we can wish for every couple, we want them to be stress-free on their wedding day. We know that we’re not the only ones to tell you that your wedding celebration will pass by. From the moment you get up in the morning to get your makeup and dress on to the final slow dance under the moonlight with your love (and all the special moments in between).

You’ll only experience this kind of magic once in a lifetime. You deserve to spend every second of it enjoying yourself and embracing the happy moments with your loved ones.

After all, you don’t tie the knot to the person you’ve most in the world every day!

Your wedding celebration is supposed to be very special, so we aim to put your mind at ease. From pre-planning your photo priorities before your special day to giving a helpful wedding day timeline, we’re here to make it all easier!

You learn a few things when you attend as many weddings as we do. So today, we’ll be sharing five tried-and-successful tips to help you have a stress-free wedding celebration!

1. Spare Time for Yourself

You can’t control whether your best man will forget the rings or if your mother will get a flat tire on the way to the ceremony. However, you can spare time for what you can control.

Honestly, we still have yet to attend a wedding where everything goes exactly as planned; but when couples take some extra time to prepare the little things, those unexpected mishaps are nowhere in sight.

Make space in your timeline for the forgotten shoe and late arrivals to ensure a stress-free vibe on your wedding day. Allowing some buffer time will help you stay on schedule regardless of anything the day throws at us. The best part of adding some buffer time is that there’s no downside; even if your day goes exactly as planned, you’ll have plenty of time to relax and enjoy your spare time with everyone.

2. Hire a Wedding Planner

Hiring a wedding planner may seem like a splurge, but it’s entirely worth the luxury! The benefits of hiring a wedding planner are endless; they’ll guide you through the wedding planning process from scratch to the aftermath. They’ll think about the usually overlooked things and help you mentally and emotionally prepare for your day as they’ve done this before many times!

Besides that, the wedding planner you’ve chosen will help coordinate your vendor team, be the person your family and friends contact and answer all your questions so you can fully relax into the big day.

Your wedding planner won’t only alleviate stress during the planning process, but they’ll also be there to solve any problem you may encounter as your wedding day unfolds. Therefore, you only need to worry about which bottle of champagne you should open first.

3. Pick the Right Helpers

Your wedding day is the perfect time to treat yourself to a personal assistant! We suggest you and your partner find someone at your beck-and-call throughout the event.

We recommend someone close to you but not at your wedding party so they don’t have any other important things to take care of (like group photos or hair and makeup). Ensure they are familiar with your friends and family and will happily play this role for you.

Before the wedding day, give them a rundown of the timeline and details so they can help you answer questions, discuss any change in the timeline with your wedding planner and think about any issue that may arise to minimize the pressure leading up to your wedding day.

Besides supporting you on your wedding day, it’s always special to have someone familiar enough with your family and friends to help group people, track down stragglers, and ensure that everyone is there to celebrate your wedding day!

4. Turn Your Phone Off

We know how tempting it is to keep your phone on ‘just in case.’ However, consider it a warning: Between all the wishes from social media to guests who don’t know where to park, your phone will ring continuously if you keep it on.

Let yourself be unavailable during your wedding day.

No one should expect you to answer their call on your special day. If you’re worried about guests needing you, let them know your helper’s number beforehand. And if you’re concerned about vendors needing you, give them your wedding planner’s number ahead of time.

5. Ask for Help

It doesn’t matter if you’ve planned many parties before, as none of them will prepare you for your wedding day. Tons of variables go into a wedding, whether big or small, from planning to organizing vendors, managing transportation, inviting all the special people in your life, and finally, saying ‘I do’ to your partner. It isn’t only a big party; it’s an event draped with sentiment and emotion.

Therefore, asking for help is 100% ok. No one wants you to do this alone and your loved ones will gladly help you!

If you’re overwhelmed by all the preparations, ask your wedding party for help. If you need a moment alone, ask your sister for advice and make it happen. If you need a moment alone with your partner before walking down the aisle, have quality time before the day!

You’re surrounded by your loved ones who will support you on your wedding day and a team of vendors ready to give their best services.
