How to Plan a Wedding Beauty Regimen with a Bali Salon

Choosing the right wedding dress and makeup can be the least of your worries when planning a wedding. After all, every bride wants to look radiant and picture-perfect on their special day, which will take work and planning; we’re talking months of work and planning! To avoid any last-minute beauty breakdowns, we’ve put together the essential beauty timeline guide that every bride should follow. This includes when to schedule your hair salon appointments to when you should get waxed at the nearest Bali salon. This guide will ensure you’ll be the blushing and glowing bride when your wedding day arrives.

Start taking beauty vitamins to get that shinier and longer hair and glowing skin. Also, if you’re thinking of dramatically changing your wedding hairstyle, now should be the time. If you don’t like something, there’s still much time to grow it out or change the color without setting fire to your locks.

Visit a Bali Salon Eight Months Before Your Wedding Day

If you need to catch up on your skin routine, 9 to 8 months before your day is the time to revive a more strict system. Cleanse, target and tone every morning and night, and remember to exfoliate two or three times weekly.

If you’re unsure what you’re doing for your skincare routine, you can make an appointment with an esthetician or dermatologist to discuss the skin you want for your wedding day. They’ll look for the right regimen for you.

You should also consider starting laser hair removal as it may take up to six treatments to remove all the hair, deepening on the site. As you must wait 4-6 weeks between sessions, starting early is best.

Four Months Before Your Wedding Day

You should start experimenting with different hair and makeup styles with different artists during this period. Then, book them after you’ve chosen your favorite hairstyle and makeup; you don’t want to run into any conflicting schedules or changes at the last minute. This applies to your nails as well! Many nail salons in Bali also have bridal packages.

Make sure to inform your makeup artist if you’re planning to go away before your wedding or planning to get some tanning. This will let them create a special look that will complement the overall change in your complexion.

Two Months Before Your Wedding Day

If you’re looking for a bronzy glow on your special day, decide how you want to achieve it. If you want a spray tan, book one now as a test run instead of a few days before your wedding. If you prefer a gradual tanning moisturizer, start adding it to your daily skincare routine.

Whatever method you pick, we recommend saving the tanning bed or outdoor sunning as both can cause earlier photo aging and unwanted skin problems may occur.

Beauty accessories: Choose any beauty accessories, such as customized lipsticks or hair accessories.

Nail color: Two months before your wedding day is the perfect time to choose your bridal nail color. Make sure its undertones match your dress and wedding decorations.

Teeth whitening: Professional teeth whitening sessions usually take more than one appointment. Book your first appointment around 2 months before your big day and use a whitening kit at home after your last session to maintain those pearly whites. You don’t want to worry about sensitive teeth on your wedding day.

Botox: Botox may take up to two weeks to take effect and usually lasts for a few months. If you’re considering it for your nuptials, now is the time to correct any potential issues.

Kick in the fitness regimen: level up your fitness regimen at the two-month mark. Add an extra thirty minutes of gym time every day or start a yoga class on the weekends.

Two Weeks Before Your Wedding Day

Get a color-enhancing treatment at your chosen Bali salon for those luminous locks on your special day. You can also trim any split ends if you want to. Now is also the time to get a subtle color change, such as balayage highlights.

Start exfoliating your body at least two to three times a week if you haven’t already. You can start with a gentle body scrub that washes off dead skin cells without removing your skin’s moisture. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend skipping the physical exfoliators and going for a chemical choice, like glycolic or salicylic acid. You might also need to avoid products with added fragrance if you’re prone to eczema.

Two weeks before the day is also a great time to wax, shape, or thread your brows. Tweeze stray hairs a day before your wedding to avoid redness and bumps.

One Week Before Your Wedding Day

Get a soothing, hydrating facial a week before your wedding day. But don’t do any major exfoliation or unusual treatments as you don’t want to risk any adverse reaction on your skin. You might want to skip this if you have sensitive skin or have never had a facial before as predicting how your skin will react to a new product is difficult.

If your hair is dyed in a way that you’ll need to touch up your roots, it’s best to dye it a week before, so your roots don’t grow before D-day. Make sure to have enough time to correct in case any problem occurs, though, so you shouldn’t wait any longer than a week.

Two to One Day Before Your Wedding

Get some gel polish on your nails to avoid chips and cracks on your wedding day. You’ve most likely determined your nail tech and color before the manicure, so sit back and enjoy the process. If you’re getting a spray tan, spray it two days before your wedding day. The extra time will let the tan fade in and appear more natural.

Make sure to get some shut-eye, as you’ve done all the work and it’s time to relax (or at least try to relax). Remember to drink lots of water before the day to ensure your skin is hydrated.

Once your big day arrives, all you have to do is smile and be the beautiful bride you’ve worked months to be. Congratulations!
